Used For:

  • Targeting active acne (pimples, whiteheads, blackheads)

  • Reducing inflammation and redness

  • Preventing future breakouts (antibacterial action)

Side Effects:

  • Dryness/peeling (common with salicylic acid)

  • Mild stinging (on open acne or sensitive skin)

  • Rare allergic reaction (itching/swelling—discontinue if occurs)

Precautions:

  1. Apply a tiny amount directly on spots (avoid surrounding skin).

  2. Use 1–2x daily (preferably PM).

  3. Do not mix with retinols/AHAs (risk of irritation).

  4. Always follow with SPF 30+ (salicylic acid increases sun sensitivity).
