Product Description
Product Name: Anafortan Plus Injection
Product Form: injections
Pack Size: 6's
Manufactured By: AGP Pharma
Used For:
- Pain Relief: Anafortan Plus Injection is often prescribed to alleviate moderate to severe pain, such as that associated with postoperative recovery, renal colic (kidney stones), menstrual cramps, or other conditions causing acute pain.
- Fever Reduction: It may also be used to lower fever in individuals with febrile conditions, such as infections or inflammatory disorders.
Side Effects:
- Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may experience allergic reactions to one or more of the components in Anafortan Plus Injection. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing, or anaphylaxis (a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction).
- Gastrointestinal Effects: Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion, or diarrhea. These gastrointestinal symptoms are more likely to occur with prolonged use or higher doses of metamizole (Analgin).
- Decreased Blood Pressure: Metamizole (Analgin) can cause a drop in blood pressure, which may lead to dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting, especially when standing up quickly from a sitting or lying position.
- Agranulocytosis: Rare but serious side effect associated with metamizole, characterized by a severe decrease in white blood cell count, which can increase the risk of infections and other complications.
- Respiratory Depression: In high doses or with rapid administration, metamizole can suppress respiratory function, leading to shallow breathing or respiratory depression.
- Central Nervous System Effects: Some individuals may experience drowsiness, dizziness, or headache after receiving Anafortan Plus Injection.
- Hypersensitivity Reactions: Fenpiverinium bromide may cause hypersensitivity reactions in some individuals, leading to symptoms such as skin rash, itching, or swelling.
Precautions:
- Medical History: Inform your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you have, especially if you have a history of allergies (particularly to other pain relievers or NSAIDs), asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, kidney or liver problems, or blood disorders.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use Anafortan Plus Injection with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as the safety of metamizole during these periods is not well established. Discuss the potential risks and benefits with your doctor.
- Avoid Alcohol: Avoid consuming alcohol while receiving Anafortan Plus Injection, as it may increase the risk of certain side effects, such as gastrointestinal bleeding or liver toxicity.
- Use in Elderly: Elderly individuals may be more susceptible to the side effects of Anafortan Plus Injection, particularly decreased blood pressure and central nervous system effects. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
- Monitoring: Regular monitoring of blood pressure, blood counts, and renal function may be recommended during treatment with Anafortan Plus Injection, especially with prolonged use.
It's crucial to use Anafortan Plus Injection exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider and to report any adverse effects or concerns promptly. Do not exceed the recommended dosage or frequency of administration without medical supervision. If you have questions about the use of Anafortan Plus Injection or its potential side effects, consult your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
