Used for:
- Treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD).
- Management of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
- Management of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain) and fibromyalgia.
- Treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain, such as lower back pain or osteoarthritis-related pain.
Side Effects:
Common side effects of Ambalta capsules may include:
- Nausea
- Dry mouth
- Fatigue
- Dizziness
- Somnolence (excessive sleepiness)
- Constipation
- Sweating
- Decreased appetite
- Insomnia (difficulty sleeping)
- Sexual dysfunction (such as decreased libido or erectile dysfunction)
- Increased sweating
- Headache
- Elevated blood pressure
- Withdrawal symptoms upon discontinuation
Serious side effects, although less common, may include:
- Suicidal thoughts or behaviors, especially in younger individuals
