- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Other conditions involving inflammation and pain, such as dental pain or musculoskeletal disorders
It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals in the body that cause pain and inflammation.

- Indigestion or heartburn
- Abdominal pain
- Rash or itching
Less common but more serious side effects can include:
- Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers
- Kidney impairment
- Liver damage
- Increased risk of heart attack or stroke with long-term use
- Severe allergic reactions (swelling of the face, lips, throat, or difficulty breathing)
Precautions:
- Gastrointestinal Risk: Long-term use can increase the risk of stomach ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding. It should be used with caution in patients with a history of ulcers or gastrointestinal disorders.
- Heart and Kidney Health: People with heart disease, high blood pressure, or kidney issues should use aceclofenac cautiously, as NSAIDs can worsen these conditions.
- Liver Function: Regular monitoring of liver function is recommended in patients using aceclofenac long-term, as it can cause liver damage in some cases.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: It is generally not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, as it can harm the fetus. Use during breastfeeding should be avoided unless necessary.
- Drug Interactions: Aceclofenac can interact with other medications, such as blood thinners (e.g., warfarin), other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, and certain blood pressure medications.
