Used For:
- Hypovolemic Shock: To restore blood volume in cases of severe blood loss or shock (e.g., from trauma, burns, surgery).
- Hypoalbuminemia: Used when albumin levels are low in the blood due to conditions like liver cirrhosis, nephrotic syndrome, or malnutrition.
- Plasma Volume Expansion: To expand blood plasma volume, which is important for maintaining blood pressure and circulation in critical conditions.
- Nephrotic Syndrome: In treating conditions that cause excessive protein loss through the kidneys, like nephrotic syndrome.
- Severe Burns: To treat and prevent shock in burn victims by restoring plasma and protein levels.
