Used for:
- Asthma: Aerokast Tablets 10mg are primarily used for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma. Montelukast helps to control asthma symptoms and improve lung function by blocking the action of leukotrienes, which are chemicals in the body that can cause inflammation, bronchoconstriction (narrowing of the airways), and mucus production in the lungs.
- Allergic rhinitis: It may also be prescribed to manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) in individuals aged 2 years and older, including nasal congestion, sneezing, itching, and runny nose.
