Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Thinning of the skin: Prolonged use, especially on large areas or broken skin, may lead to skin thinning.
• Stretch marks (striae) may develop with prolonged use.
• Skin discoloration or easy bruising.
• Contact dermatitis: Rarely, it can cause an allergic skin reaction, with symptoms like rash or swelling.
• Systemic effects: If absorbed into the bloodstream (particularly with prolonged or heavy use), it could cause more widespread corticosteroid side effects like weight gain, high blood pressure, or osteoporosis.

Precautions:

• Short-term use: Use the ointment for the shortest duration necessary to avoid side effects, especially if applied to large skin areas or broken skin.
• Avoid face and sensitive areas: Long-term use of corticosteroids on the face, armpits, groin, or other sensitive skin areas can cause side effects like skin thinning or delayed wound healing.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before using it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Topical steroids may pass into breast milk, and systemic absorption is possible.
• Infections: Avoid use on infected skin unless prescribed by a doctor.
