Used For:

  • Parkinson’s Disease: Helps manage symptoms such as tremors, stiffness, and difficulty with movement.
  • Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS): Alleviates uncomfortable sensations in the legs and the urge to move them.

Side Effects:

  • Common: Nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, constipation.
  • Serious: Hallucinations, confusion, sudden sleep attacks, compulsive behaviors (e.g., gambling, overeating), low blood pressure, fainting.

Precautions:

  1. Medical History: Inform your doctor about any history of liver/kidney disease, heart conditions, mental health disorders, or sleep disorders.
  2. Drowsiness and Sleep Attacks: Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if the medication makes you drowsy or causes sudden sleep episodes.
