Used For:

  • Hepatitis C: Often used in combination with direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) like sofosbuvir or ledipasvir to treat chronic hepatitis C infection.
  • Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV): Inhaled ribavirin may be used to treat severe RSV infections in infants and young children.
  • Other Viral Infections: Sometimes used in combination therapies for other viral infections, though this is less common.
