Product Description
Product Name: Nimotop Tablets 30mg
Product Form: Tablets
Pack Size: 30's
Manufactured By: Bayer Pharma (Pvt) Ltd
Used For
- Subarachnoid Hemorrhage: Nimodipine is mainly used to prevent and treat delayed cerebral ischemia following a subarachnoid hemorrhage. It helps reduce the risk of complications, such as brain damage due to reduced blood flow.
- Migraine Prevention: Although not its primary indication, nimodipine may be used off-label to prevent migraines in some patients.
Nimodipine selectively blocks calcium channels in the smooth muscle of blood vessels, leading to vasodilation (widening of blood vessels). This helps to increase cerebral blood flow and reduce the risk of ischemic damage.
