Used For:
- Hyperlipidemia: Crestor, also known as Rosuvastatin, is used to lower elevated levels of LDL cholesterol ("bad" cholesterol) and triglycerides in the blood, and to raise HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol).
 - Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease: It helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular events in patients with risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of heart disease.
 - Familial Hypercholesterolemia: It is used to treat this genetic condition characterized by very high cholesterol levels.
 
Side Effects:
- Muscle Pain: Includes muscle aches, tenderness, or weakness, which can be a sign of more serious muscle damage (rhabdomyolysis).
 - Headache: Common side effect experienced by some users.
 - Digestive Issues: Nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, and flatulence.
